Built in 1997. The construction has been completely made with native woods (cipres, mañio, lenga). We, the owners, are a Spanish couple who fell in love with Cochrane and these very last virgin lands left on our planet. That is the reason for our hotel name Last Paradise.
It is probably the last natural, pristine and virgin paradise of the world.
Where we are
Last Paradise Hotel in Cochrane is located on Lake Brown Street Nº 455, two blocks from the main square. From the entrance of Cochrane head west on San Valentin Street to Teniente Merino, Doctor Stteffens or O'Higgins Streets because they all intersect with Lago Brown Street. You can follow the address from Apple Maps or Google Maps.
Landscape Around Cochrane
In between the highest mountains of Patagonia you will find The Cerro San Lorenzo close to 4,000 mts (12,000 feet) and The San Valentin Mountain, over 4,000 mts (13,000 feet), which is the highest mountain in Patagonia and The Northern Icefield. Being the biggest river of Chile, The Baker River, receives the water of the second biggest lake of South America, General Carrera Lake. Yo can drink the water of the second largest potable water reserves on earth, which are The Northern and Southern Icefields, which are over 200,000 square kilometers wide and 3 kms deep of pure ice. Patagonia is the last refuge of the patagonic deer (huemul), where they are able to live pure and free. The different areas of the region, even though simple with title, are indescribabley beautiful and why this region is The Last Paradise.
Attractions
Glaciar trekking Calluqueo
Clacier of Mount San Lorenzo (the second highest mountain in Patagonia). It is located 47 km south of Cochrane and it takes and hour to reach by car. This tour can be contracted with departure from our hotel and lasts a full day. Once I reached front of the glacier road cross the glacier lagoon in a boat for about 20 minutes and then walk for about half an hour. stepping up to "ice" glacier. We walk with crampons on the glacier ice for about two hours and then returned to the hotel.
Excursion to Lake Brown and Monte San Lorenzo
From Cochrane there are 50 km to the Brown Lake and the landscape until its arrival is wonderful, with lakes, waterfalls, forests, glaciers ... and the climax is to see Mount San Lorenzo (4,000 meters altitude, second highest mountain in Patagonia).
Reserve Tamango National Park
Located 4 km from Cochrane, navigation can make a boat going up the river to its source Cochrane in Cochrane Lake (the Cochrane River has some of the clearest water in the word), and can return doing a trekking by reserving about two hours and a half. with the possibility of watching Huemules. You can do this well all boat ride, especially with trekking or combining.
Snorkel by the Cochrane River
A tour of an hour and a half approx. guided down the river to see in its water the flora and fauna of the river (large trout, cormorants, güairabos, kingfishers, ...) The guide provides all the necessary for the trip (16 mm wetsuit., Goggles, snorkel and fins) equipment.
Route of the Cascades
There are several waterfalls or jumps around like jumping Cochrane River Salto, jumps and bounding Cochrane Rio Baker River. Confluence of the Baker and Neff Rivers (big waterfall of the Baker River)
Patagonia Park or Valle Chacabuco
Located 18 km from Cochrane, you can make the trip by car or to different trekking offered within the park.
Caleta Tortel
Located 120 km from Cochrane (approx. 3 hours), you can go and return in the day to walk the catwalk and see the mouth of the Baker River.
Paso San Carlos
Ancient route of the pioneers to access from the river Baker to the region. A full day excursion combining horseback riding and trekking (moderate).

The hotel has seven warm and comfortable rooms with can serve as single, double or triple occupancies with private, fully equipped bathrooms, traditional heat (fireplace), Wifi, phone and satelital TV. The size of every room is 90 square feet. It is located two blocks from Cochrane's main square. Included in the daily rate breakfast with specialized in the abundance, quality and variety of our homemade products.

We offer the posibility to our clients to make the payment in USD$ or Euros, what will allow you to get taxes off.
Low season
From $130.000
Single room: 130.000 pesos plus taxes.
Double room: 140.000 pesos plus taxes.
Triple room (2 pax share the double bed): 150.000 pesos plus taxes.
From May 1th to September 30th 2025.

High season
From $150.000
Single room: 150.00 pesos plus taxes.
Double room:160.000 pesos plus taxes.
Triple room (2 pax share the double bed): 185.000 pesos plus taxes.

Terms
The way to pay will be throw a money transfer to our bank acount or by paying in the hotel cash or Credit cards.
For the confirmation of the reservation, a prepayment of 50%is necessary and the other remaining 50% can be up to 31 days before arrival at the hotel. If requested less than 31 days in advance, a 100% prepayment is required.
The expenses for cancellations in all seasons are:
- Up to 31 days before arrival 50% of the total value of the reservation.
- 30 days before arrival or "no show": 100% of the total value of the reservation.
